Penny is the sweetest girl, whom we have had the pleasure of watching blossom into an amazing dog. Penny came to us from a neglect case where she was found living in an abandon property with a total of 104 dogs. She can be a little shy in new situations, but is doing great in her foster home. Her confidence has made huge strides and she has really started to settle in and make her self at home.

She LOVES to run around the back yard with the other dogs in her foster home. Penny has learned how much fun it is to chase after squirrels too. Its so fun to watch her run around without a care in the world. She does pretty well on her leash as well, she prefers to walk a little behind you. Penny does great hanging out in her kennel at night and when her foster parents aren't home. She is doing SO great on potty training now that she is in a loving foster home with consistency.

More and more Penny is opening up to seem more like a "normal" dog. She will just need a loving and patient home knowing that she will come around with time. She is a little hesitant with new people, but comes around with time! She seems to take to ladies a little quicker than the guys, but still comes around to them as well! If she sees someone outside of her fenced in back yard, she likes to give a little bark so you know they are there, but nothing mean at all. She is such a sweet girl and is so excited to see you in the morning and when you get home now too, she even comes up to her foster parents to ask for pets. She also enjoys being brushed. She really is opening up more and more every day. We can't wait for her to find a loving forever home.

Corner of Kindness Adoption Process:

  1. Submit your adoption application (can be found at www.cornerofkindness.org) so you can connect with my foster family and ask them your questions about me and maybe you'll even come to meet me! An adoption application doesn't mean you have to adopt me, or that you're the only applicant- it just shows you're interested in me!

  2. Corner of Kindness will forward your application to the foster parents who should contact you in 48 hours. Foster parents set up meet and greets so you can meet your potential new family member

  3. If everyone feels it’s a good fit then you have a home visit completed

  4. Sign an adoption contract

  5. Pay the adoption fee

  6. Enjoy your new family member!
